Freelance photographer. Located in Finland, Helsinki.

I am now working in Finland and abroad on location and also in my new studio/workspace in Tehtaankatu 20(There I do my processing and computer work, my "home base" )

I book comissions for work here in Finland and I like to travel also with my nice Renault 25 Turbo car across the European continent.The cold season I try to stay in Southern Portugal or the other extreme: Lapland with the native sami tribes.

The MAJOR undertaking that is taking place now, when I have turned 65, is my retrospective "LUSH LIFE". I have filed for "Artist Pension" from the state, and hopefully will drop many of my other activities in order to prepare for the retrospective: pictures from year 1964 to today. Mny of them you can see on this website, but many times more on the hard discs of my computer, ready to be transferred as prints to an exhibition wall. Stay tuned...

The images available in my Gallery selection, are for sale in any the format required. You can order signed and numbered analog prints or just a digital files and have the print made by your photofinisher. Please note that I only sell single usage rights. All other usage has to be negotiated, as I work mainly on my own projects keeping all the rights.

MY EQUIPMENT?

I have used almost all professional film equipment in my career, and filtered down my set to the bare essentials: They are LEICA with several interesting lenses, the NIKON F, yes the original with 20-50-105mm lenses, then the Hasselblad middle format, that now has also the DFV digital back and my custom made "Art camera"- with pinhole and 75mm 5,6 huge hunk of glass, these go with 4X5 and 6x7-6x9-6x12 roll film backs.

I do the baryta prints in the right way- washing and post processing in an archive standard washing/drying. I can mount the prints , too

MY "TIME WHEEL". Where I will be in 2010 ?

I am doing many things: Besides being a Photographer, I am a lecturer, active artist on my own projects, part time musican, part time racecar designer & driver, part time Limo driver and part time husband...
To get an idea, where I will be during different periods of the next year. I have drawn a ""year wheel"of my activities. It is based on light, temperature, available inspirations & food/money. Little like the birds of the sky and animals in the woods, I go to places where I can find nourishment, both for my belly and my brain/eyes...

Ohessa "vuosipyöräni" jonka perusteella suunnittelen ajankäyttöni.
Se on jaettu kolmeen jaksoon:Kevät-kesä ja syksyjaksoon. Nyt kun olen virallisesti "Eläkkeellä" tippuu siitä pois tuo skabari/demoaktivitetti kauko-ohjatuila pienoismalleilla, sen korvaa entistä aktiivisempi fotojen työstö, sekä uusien että arkistomateriaalin. Kevään yritän olla etelässä, Portugalissa ja Italiassa. kesän täällä suomessa kuvaten taiteilijoita ja luontoa, sitten syksyllä on aika mennä lappiin, pohjois Norjaan ja sitten taas etelä euroopaan. Otan vastaan toimeksiantoja täällä suomessa mutta myös euroopassa.
